First Stop on the 'A' Train NJ Tap Ensemble February 23 - February 24, 2008 "Class, sophistication-and a good party," according to Deborah Mitchell, artistic director of NJ Tap Ensemble, is what lured visitors to nightspots in Harlem during the 1920's, a period also known as the Harlem Renaissance. In honor of Black History month, this nationally recognized dance troupe will recall that fabulous era with an infectiously high-spirited program of tap dancing and other social and theatrical dances.

An Afternoon with the English American Saturday, March 1, 2008 3pm Author/Comedienne Alison Larkin in conversation with Eric Hafen, on stage at the Bickford Theatre, on the eve of her National book tour. Tickets include a signed copy of her debut novel "The English American," coming from Simon & Schuster on March 4th. Profits will benefit the Bickford Theatre.

Arias and Ensembles featuring the NJ Opera Theater March 15, 2008 This Princeton-based opera company will present famous arias, duets and trios from many of the world's most noteworthy operas. The evening will feature both established singers and singers whose star is soon to rise on the opera scene. The evening will be a benefit for the Bickford Theatre, sponsored by The Bickford Theatre Guild, and will include a pre-show reception, concert and post-performance meet-and-greet along with dessert.
