Celebrate at the Morris Museum!

Choose from a party package below. The Morris Museum provides a fun and safe party room. Parents/Sponsors provide the party refreshments and any special favors or decorations. (Please note: helium balloons are not allowed in the Museum.) Specially designed treat bags are available from the Museum Shop to enhance your party.

TOT PARTIES Ages 3-4

Each toddler should be accompanied by one adult. If you are interested in a party theme for older children, call 973.971.3720 to inquire about modifying the package for toddlers.

DINO-MIGHT

Explore the Digging Dinosaurs gallery while handling and learning about the fossils give us about dinosaurs. Plus, make a dinosaur puppet to take home. Educator included.

ART ADVENTURE

Toddlers will develop an awareness for art while looking at recognizable objects, shapes and colors. Then they’ll go to the classroom for an art-themed activity of your choice.

DINO TALES & TURTLE TAILS

Part story-telling and part scavenger hunt. Toddlers listen to short stories in Museum galleries and search for animals and objects that pertain to what each story  is about.

PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT

Children walk through the Museum with a parent while searching for objects in each gallery that appear on their scavenger hunt clue sheet. Educator not included.

“PLAY” TIME

The Morris Museum hosts special Children’s Theatre performances at the Bickford Theatre. Attending a playtime party is fun party entertainment and a good way to introduce children to live theatre performances. To inquire about upcoming children’s theatre shows at the Bickford Theatre, call 973-971-3720.

MUSEUM BROWSE

Explore the Museum’s hands-on galleries and then head back to your party room for food, cake and fun! Inquire about having a scavenger hunt or game included with your museum browse.

Ideal for children in grades K-5. A museum educator is provided with all party packages listed below.

EXPEDITION DINO

Hold a T. Rex tooth, Stegosaurus tail spike and Megaraptor claw, plus learn about the dinosaurs that once roamed New Jersey. Later on, pretend you’re a paleontologist and create a dinosaur footprint mold or cast to take home.

LIVING DOLLS

Watch moving dolls from the Museum’s world-renowned Murtogh D. Guinness Collection and design your very own clothespin doll or paper doll with changing outfits. For extra fun, have a doll tea party with your cake!

BUG PARTY

Learn about everything creepy and crawly! Handle real insect specimens while learning why we can’t live without bugs. Plus, create your own pet bug to take home.

GEMS AND JEWELS

All that glitters isn’t gold! Hold minerals, compare different rock colors and types, plus look at sparkly gems. Then design your own bracelet using semi-precious stone beads!

ROCKIN’ MINERALS

Learn about different types of rocks and minerals, try writing with graphite, hold a magnet to magnetite and find out about the “mystery rock”. Afterwards, create your own rock with “fossil” imprints to take home.

WILDlife!

Learn about and touch museum specimens including crocodiles, alligators, birds, turtles, bears and many more animals. We’ll then head over to the Museum’s specially-equipped classroom for an activity that’s truly wild!

Explore an art gallery of your choice and create your own masterpiece!

LEGO BIRTHDAY
