Rock and Mineral Weekend Workshop

Rock Animals

Kick off the Morris Museum’s Annual Rock and Mineral Weekend (Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30) by making a magnetic rock animal to take home.

December Break Workshops

Winter Family Day!

10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come in from the cold and enjoy a day at the Morris Museum! Wander throughout the galleries and then enjoy a performance by the Universal African Drum & Dance Ensemble in the Bickford Theatre (show times are 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.). Featuring unique drum beats, traditional African costumes and acrobatics, this spectacular celebrates Kwanzaa, the annual festival of family, community, culture and peace.

Use your creativity and imagination in an art workshop to make Kwanzaa candles using craft materials. Food will be available to purchase.

Art in Motion with In Motion Dance Company

Tuesday, December 30

Noon and 2 p.m.

Space is limited.  First come, first served.

Enjoy a performance with In Motion and then move, shake and dance while taking part in movement exercises with dancers from the company.

New Year’s Hats

2009 is almost here! Using glitter and craft materials, create your own party hat.
