Building Perspectives
Building Perspectives
In conjunction with the exhibition The Rise of a Landmark: Lewis Hine and the Empire State Building, the Morris Museum is featuring an exhibition of photographs by high school students called Building Perspectives. Twenty-three students from five local schools including Middlesex High School, Piscataway High School, Pompton Lakes High School, Ridge High School and Whippany Park High School participated in the program.

Building Perspectives
The Building Perspectives program started in November 2003 when gifted art students and their teachers met with professional photographer Nancy Ori at the museum to discuss the basics of architectural photography. The students were then assigned the task of photographing examples of architectural structures in their own communities. In December, the group assembled again, and Ms. Ori critiqued the work that the students brought as well as offered helpful suggestions to hone their photography skills. In January, each student entered his or her best photographs to be judged for exhibition at the Morris Museum. Those photographs that were chosen are now on view in Building Perspectives through March 14, 2004.
