A winter wonderland of
exhibition and sale takes place at the Morris Museum's 18th annual
Holiday Tree Festival, Dec. 7-13, 2003. Over 300 unique trees, wreaths,
garlands and table centerpieces are on sale during this weeklong event.
As a gift to the community, admission to the Morris Museum is free
throughout the week. This year's Holiday Tree Festival chairpersons
are Joen Ferrari of Morristown, NJ and Carla Schan of Montville, NJ.
In addition to the holiday items, corporate trees are available
for purchase. Corporations may purchase beautifully decorated trees
for $1,000. These will be on display at the museum during the event
and will be donated to a local charity at the close of the week.
CIT, Berlex Laboratories and Laud Collier & Company have purchased
corporate trees this year and will donate them to charities including
hospitals, nursing homes and day care centers at the close of the
event.
A Holiday Café catered by Morristown Deli offers soup, sandwiches,
salads, quiche and desserts throughout the week. Café hours
are Sunday, 1-4 p.m. and Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
