New Jersey Artist Series: Judy Moonelis
December 23, 2003 - March 28, 2004
Judy Moonelis, Westminster Cone 2
Inspired by anatomical study, Judy Moonelis creates art that is reflective of the inner workings and underlying structures of the human body. Specifically, Moonelis’ sculpture mirrors the human circulatory and related systems. Presented as part of the Morris Museum’s continuing New Jersey Artist Series, Moonelis’ work is on view December 23, 2003 - March 28, 2004.

The exhibition features work in both mixed media and wire. Branched Matrice (2002-03), a large installation of suspended branched tubular forms, recalls the internal structure of the human body. In addition, a series of spatial drawings constructed in wire is included in the exhibition. These works are comprised of conical shapes that link architectural structure with models of our expanding universe.
