| Vision Test: Adventures in 3-D |
January 17, 2005 - May 1, 2005
Have you ever wondered how 3-D movies are made? Or how some
artists create incredibly realistic 3-D images using only
paint and canvas? Adventures in 3-D is a traveling
exhibition from the Pacific Science Center that explores
how our eyes and brain work together to operate in a three-dimensional
world and examines the technology used to create 3-D illusions.
The exhibition is separated into several categories such
as:
- Perception/Illusion
- Perspective Exhibits
- 3-D Technology
- 3-D Illusion
- 3-D Galleries
Some exhibition highlights include:
- The Main Brain, a giant head you can actually step into
- Illusion Room, a room with crazy visual cues
- Hologram Gallery, where two-dimensional objects appear
three dimensional
- Floating Jewels, a 3-D illusion preventing the viewer
from capturing the treasures
