I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE 

AEA Open Call on Friday, August 14th, 10 am to 6 pm

Sign-Up: 9am; Lunch: 12:30 pm to 1pm.

Choreographer:  Laurie Piro. 

Please prepare a contemporary, light monologue (2-3 min.) and 16-bars uptempo piece indicative of the style of the revue. All actors (20's to 40's) must have excellent comic delivery and be flexible dynamic performers who act, sing and move well.

Cast Breakdown:

Woman #1:  vocal range: low A (below middle C) to high B-flat

Woman #2:  vocal range: low F-sharp (below middle C) to D-flat

Man #1:  vocal range:  C to high G-sharp

Man #2:  vocal range: D-flat to high G-flat

Reh. begins Sept. 1; Runs Sept. 24 to Oct. 18, 2008

Non-AEA ACTORS will be seen after AEA members.

AEA Non-Musical Open Call on Saturday, August 15th, 10 am to 6 pm

Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting, contemporary, monologues (5 min. total).

Non-AEA ACTORS will be seen after AEA members.

PERFECT WEDDING by Robin Hawdon (Dir:  Eric Hafen)

Reh. begins Oct. 20; Runs Nov. 12 to Dec. 6, 2009

Cast Breakdown:

Rachel- the bride; late 20's; always in charge; will definitely wear the pants in the family.

Bill- the groom; late 20’s; rarely in control; very impulsive.

Tom- the best man; late 20’s; dependable; grounded; takes a lot to rattle him.

Judy- a girl; late 20’s, very attractive; a romantic.

Julie- the hotel maid, 20’s to 30’s; wacky; unpredictable; impulsive.

Daphne- bride's mother; 40’s-50’s; stereotypically emotional.

 

CROSSING DELANCEY by Susan Sandler (Dir. Eric Hafen)

Reh. begins Dec. 28; Runs Jan. 21 to Feb. 14, 2010

Cast Breakdown:

Bubbie- 70’s; sharp-tongued, spirited Jewish woman, immigrated to the US as a young girl and has lived here ever since in a shrinking community in the lower east side of NYC.

Isabelle- late 20’s; her grandaughter; bookish dreamer; unmarried, attractive, liberated woman who wants to make her own choices in life.

Hannah- 50’s to 60’s; very large Jewish woman; feisty professional matchmaker; a persistent haggler

Tyler- 30’s to 40’s; handsome, well known writer; charming; self-important.

Sam- late 20’s to early 30’s; Jewish; mild-mannered pickle salesman and poet; appealing and very

wise for his years.

DANGEROUS OBSESSION by NJ Crisp (Dir. Eric Peterson)

Reh. begins Apr. 5; Runs Apr. 29 to May 23, 2010

Cast Breakdown:

Sally Driscoll- 30’s to 40’s; very attractive; self-confident; presents an uneasy air of nonchalence.

Mark Driscoll- 40’s; handsome; financial type; confident in everything he does, but can crack under

pressure.

John Barrett- 40’s; mild-mannered; not conventionally good-looking; rather ordinary; pedantic.
