Documenting the story of women’s baseball from its beginnings atVassar College in 1866, the exhibit showcases many of the pioneering players as they barnstormed across the country from one game to the next.On display will be more than 50 images and objects from one of the nation’s largest collections of women’s
baseball memorabilia.

Intimate Portrait: The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League

Sue Macy, author of A Whole New Ball Game, shares the story of the pioneering players who made their mark in the world's first professional women's baseball league. She will discuss their triumphs and challenges in the 1940s and '50s, as well as the long-awaited recognition they enjoyed in the 1980s and '90s. This program is offered in conjunction with the exhibition Linedrives & Lipstick: The Untold Story of Women’s Baseball.
