Sue Macy, author of A Whole New Ball Game, shares the story of the
pioneering players who made their mark in the world's first professional women's baseball league. She will discuss their triumphs and challenges in the 1940s and '50s, as well as the long-awaited recognition they enjoyed in the 1980s and '90s. This program is offered in conjunction with the exhibition Linedrives & Lipstick: The Untold Story of Women’s Baseball.
